Everything stays on this phone.

Ralli records a match, works out where each point you mark started, and helps you pull the good bits out. All of that happens here, on the phone in your hand.

What gets recorded

Video of the court, for as long as you are recording.

Sound, unless you turned the microphone off. Ralli uses it to work out where each point you mark started, and the sound is saved with your video the way it would be in any other recording.

You can record without the microphone. Without sound, every point runs 12 seconds back from the mark you made until you drag it, and everything else works exactly as it does otherwise.

Where it goes

Into a file on this phone. Ralli has no server and does not upload footage.

Your phone's own backups, to iCloud or to a computer, can include it, as they include any app's files.

Finding where each point started happens here too. Nothing is sent away to be analysed.

If you use Ralli on an Apple Watch, the points you mark, the score, the names of the two sides and the state of the match go straight between the watch and the phone.

The court, and whoever is on it

You are recording other people: the person across the net, whoever is on the next court, anyone walking past.

Some clubs have rules about filming, and some places have laws about recording sound. Both are worth a look before you prop the phone up.

What you do with the footage afterwards is yours to decide, and so is who ends up seeing it.

What leaves the phone

Only what you ask for. A highlight reel you save goes to your photo library, and so do the clips in it and the whole match if you choose to save that.

If you turn on Save matches to Health, your watch saves each match to Apple Health as a workout, with its length, heart rate and calories. Ralli only writes to Health and reads nothing from it.

Anything you share goes wherever you send it.

Nothing else leaves, and nothing leaves without you asking.

What Ralli does not do

No account, no sign-in, no profile.

No analytics, no tracking, no crash reporting, no advertising.

No uploading, and no copy of your footage anywhere you did not ask for.

Getting rid of it

Deleting a match moves it to Recently deleted and takes the footage thirty days later. Until then you can put it back.

Deleting the app takes everything it stored with it. What you saved to Photos or to Apple Health stays there until you delete it there.
